Terms of Use

1. The service

FraudReader provides scam-awareness checks, risk indicators, explanations and safety guidance for messages, email text, links and QR destinations. Some features work locally; optional account, online, mailbox and subscription functions use external services as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. No guarantee or professional advice

A low-risk result does not prove that content, a sender, a website or a payment request is safe. A high-risk result does not prove fraud. Threat information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong.

FraudReader is not legal, financial, banking, police, cybersecurity-response or emergency advice. Independently verify important requests through an official channel before acting.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your decisions and for using the service lawfully. Do not submit content you are not entitled to process, use FraudReader to harm others, bypass security or rate limits, automate abuse, reverse engineer protected services, or misrepresent a result as definitive proof.

Never send FraudReader Support passwords, one-time codes, BankID approvals, payment-card data or complete private conversations.

4. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in method and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. FraudReader may limit or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with law or investigate a security incident.

5. Age and guardian permission

FraudReader is not directed to children under 13. If you are below 18, use FraudReader only with permission from a parent or guardian and do not connect a mailbox or submit another person's content unless you are authorized to do so. A parent or guardian must authorize optional online features where applicable law requires it.

6. Email connections and third-party services

Mailbox access is optional and requires your explicit consent and provider authorization. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Google Play, Supabase, OpenAI and other providers have their own terms and availability. FraudReader is not responsible for a third party's independent service, but remains responsible for its own legal obligations.

7. Subscriptions and trial

When subscriptions are enabled, Apple or Google will show the exact localized price, billing period and offer before confirmation. The seven-day introductory trial is available only on the monthly plan to store-eligible accounts. Unless cancelled before the store's stated deadline, it converts to the displayed monthly subscription and renews automatically.

Six-month and twelve-month subscriptions have no trial unless the store sheet explicitly states otherwise. Manage or cancel through the relevant store. Deleting a FraudReader account does not cancel a store subscription.

8. Availability and changes

FraudReader may update, improve, restrict or discontinue a feature for security, legal, provider or operational reasons. Local analysis is designed to continue when internet services are unavailable, but no uninterrupted or error-free service is promised.

9. Intellectual property

FraudReader, its original design, software, text and branding belong to FTTG Stockholm AB or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable right to use the released app for its intended purpose. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.

10. Liability and consumer rights

To the extent permitted by law, FraudReader is provided as a risk-awareness aid and FTTG Stockholm AB is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on a result, provider outage or misuse. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Mandatory consumer protections in your country continue to apply and take priority over conflicting wording.

11. Ending use and deleting an account

You may stop using FraudReader at any time and can delete your account in the app. Account deletion removes associated FraudReader cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy. Mailbox permissions and store subscriptions are managed separately and should be revoked or cancelled if you no longer want them.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without limiting mandatory rights you have under the law of your residence. Please contact support first so we can try to resolve a concern. Eligible EU consumers may also use available public consumer-dispute channels.

13. Contact and changes

FraudReader is provided by FTTG Stockholm AB, organisation number 559592-1049, Dragonvägen 18, 194 33 Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Contact support@fraudreader.com. Material changes will be dated and versioned, and additional notice or consent will be provided where required.
